Looking for the 2024 Color of the Year? Click Here.
Much–anticipated Color of the Year announcements have been trickling out from numerous paint manufacturers over the last several weeks. After last year’s debacle where nearly every paint company chose some version of gray-green, we bet Improveit team members aren’t the only ones excited to see more variety in the Color of the Year 2023 selections!
Sherwin Williams Color of the Year 2023 is Redend Point
Sherwin-Williams kicked off the 2023 Color of the Year season by announcing Redend Point as its selection. This warm, clay-like color is earthy and versatile, lending itself to everything from wall colors to cabinets. The Improveit team thinks Redend Point would make an intriguing tone for window exteriors too! As part of our color-matching partnership with Sherwin-Williams, Improveit customers can have their windows custom painted to any Sherwin-Williams tone.
Benjamin Moore Selects Raspberry Blush for color of the year 2023
If you’re looking for something bolder than earth tones, Benjamin Moore has the color for you. Raspberry Blush can add a bold coral accent to any room, either as a wall color, or in your home décor selections, like throw pillows, rugs, lamps, or table settings. Our design team loves the idea of mixing this lively shade with neutrals that have a lot of movement, like the scallop shower accent wall and Alaskan White vanity top. Fun fact: coral shades look great with every skin tone, so consider using Raspberry Blush near a bathroom vanity, dressing area, or wherever you get ready for the day.
Behr’s Blank Canvas Supports Neutral Paint Color Trends
Taking a completely opposite approach from other paint manufacturers, Behr announced that Blank Canvas is its 2023 Color of the Year. The company says the warm white literally “offers a clean and inviting blank slate that allows individuality and creativity to flow freely.” Keep your palette neutral with options like Pompeii marble, wood-tone cabinetry, and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures.
Glidden Sees Bold Paint Color Trends with Vining Ivy
On the opposite side of the color wheel, PPG’s Glidden brand chose intriguing Vining Ivy as their Color of the Year 2023. The sophisticated teal shade lends a grounded, balancing feel to any space, but can hold its own when paired with bold, energizing accent colors. Dressed with warm or cool tones like Lightning shower walls (shown), Vining Ivy is one of the paint color trends we think will stand the test of time.
