Understanding the home remodeling process is key to feeling comfortable with your home improvement investment. At Improveit, before the bathroom remodeling steps or window installation process start, we make sure you have a complete understanding of what will be happening in your home. Here’s what you can expect during your home remodeling process:
Step 1. Your Consultation
One of the best parts of Improveit’s remodeling process is that we come to you! Day, evening, or weekend – choose an appointment time that works for you, and one of our design consultants will bring a mini showroom right to your home. You’ll be able to see and feel the Performax54 window and our bath remodeling materials in the environment where you’ll use them every day.
For your appointment, plan to set aside about 90 minutes of your time and have all decision-makers in the family present. This helps us make efficient use of everyone’s time, and answer everyone’s questions in one visit. Our design consultants will also use this time to take initial measurements and help you select your finishes so they can build your customized quote.
Step 2. Your Customized Quote & Financing
Every home is unique, so every project quote will be too! Our design consultants will use their initial measurements, your design selections, and your budget requirements to craft a down-to-the-penny quote for your project. This will include any available promotions, so you’ll know you’re getting the best price for your project. In most cases, our design consultants can also get you approved for financing during your appointment. The result will be an accurate, value-packed quote broken down into payments that fit within your specified budget.
Step 3. Improveit’s 5-Star Triple Check & Ordering Process
Once you accept your customized quote and sign your contract, Improveit’s project management and ordering team takes the reins. A project manager will visit your home to take final measurements, and our team will audit your entire project scope for accuracy. Our ordering and installation teams will stay in touch with you while your materials are built to fit your home. When your finished materials arrive, we’ll schedule your installation date! Here’s what comes next:
Step 4. Skilled, Efficient & Clean Installation
Bathroom Remodeling Steps
When your installation day arrives, Improveit’s bathroom remodeling process is designed to show you and your home the utmost respect.
>> Day 1
our installation crew will arrive promptly, and ready to explain the bathroom remodeling process and answer any questions. Next, they’ll protect the work area and any traffic areas with dropcloths so demolition can begin! This usually takes a full day. Your installers will work neatly and efficiently to minimize disruption to your life, and will stay in contact with any questions that arise. At the end of the day, the work area will be cleaned completely.
>> Day 2
Construction begins on day two, including protecting all the exposed framing with new water-resistant materials, adding blocking for grab bars, and installing your tub or shower base. Construction can be as messy as demo day, so your crew will be sure to fully clean the work area again before they leave.
>> Day 3
The bathroom remodeling process for most Improveit projects takes three days or less! On the last day of installation, your new shower walls will go in, as well your new fixtures, grab bars, shelving, and the other accessories you selected. Your can begin enjoying your new shower as soon as the sealant is dry!
Window Replacement Process
Your Performax54 windows are custom-built for your home and come with Improveit’s Air-Tight Installation process. But before installation begins, your old windows need to come out!
>> Day 1
Your installation crew will arrive promptly and ready to walk you through the steps for removing and replacing each window. This includes any special steps that might be required for accessing windows in challenging locations, or large replacements like bay or bow windows. Next, they’ll spread dropcloths around the work area to protect your home and belongings.
When all of your questions have been answered, the crew will get started, systematically removing the old windows and installing new Performax54 windows. Once each new window is leveled and secured in the window opening, the installers will fill any gaps with spray foam insulation for an air-tight seal that prevents drafts. This is followed by the installation of your window trim to complete the window installation process.
>> Day 2
Depending on the number of windows you’re having installed, the entire window installation process usually takes just one or two days. At the end of each day, your installers will clean up their work area and your property from any debris – and your Performax54 windows will start saving you energy on day one!
