Replacing 30 Year Old Windows in Englewood

Opening up about new windows

40 years of home ownership makes for a long list of improvements and updates – and almost certainly includes window replacement. The Improveit team was impressed to hear that Joyce Stewart got 30 years of life out of her replacement windows from the mid-1980s, but were equally grateful that she called us when they began to fail.

When Joyce called us in late 2021, she told our team that the windows in her 1971 Englewood, Ohio home would no longer open – and when they did, they wouldn’t stay open. Additionally, the tilt-in feature on her bedroom window failed to the point where the sash fell open and wouldn’t go back into place. “I had to have my son come help me put it back up,” Joyce told us, adding that the glass had separated from the window frame in her living room window. Yikes!

After working with Joyce to find a financing option that fit well into her budget, the Improveit team replaced the four windows in her home with brand new Performax54 windows that she’ll never have to worry about again. On a follow-up call in April, she let us know that being able to open her windows for the spring weather was a joy. “I hadn’t been able to open the windows for a while, and that’s the advantage I have now,” she said. “I have a big one in the living room and it just felt so good to be able to open it!”
