When they moved in in 2019, Sarah Puttoff and her family became just the second owners of their Frankfort, KY home. Both the aluminum frames and wood interiors of the windows had substantially deteriorated over the years. In addition, the aluminum and wood windows (likely originally to the home) were single-pane and offered no energy efficiency or protection from drafts in the winter or excess heat in the summer.

For this large project, which included turning two side-by-side windows into a single window opening, Improveit’s installers took two days from start to finish. As each of the old aluminum and wood windows was removed and hauled away, installers used Improveit’s Air-Tight Installation practices to air-seal the rough openings, preventing drafts and energy loss. They then installed the correct new Performax54 window in its place, with each one custom-built to fit exactly in the same opening as the previous windows.
