For their second whole house window Replacement Zanesville homeowners knew who to call
A few years after moving from Lewis Center, OH to Zanesville, Dwayne and Penelope Kolva knew their new home was ready for new windows. Thankfully, choosing a window replacement company was easy. The Kolvas worked with Improveit on a window replacement project for their previous home in 2016, and were already familiar with Improveit’s high quality windows, 5-star service, and lifetime warranty.
This time, the Kolvas replaced all 23 of their Zanesville home’s original 2001 windows with energy-efficient Performax54 vinyl windows in a crisp white finish. Though the visual impact of going from old white windows to new white windows is somewhat subtle, that transformation speaks volumes. The Kolvas new Performax54 windows would have heavier, sturdier frames and sashes than their outdated original windows. What they’ve come to love is that these stronger window components don’t just add to the home’s curb appeal – they provide much better durability and insulation for the home as well.
Creative solution for Horizontal Slider Window Replacement
While working with their Improveit design consultant this time, the Kolvas made some thoughtful design choices that balanced functionality and aesthetics for their Zanesville window replacement project. While their original windows featured colonial grids throughout the home, they decided to keep the classic grid design only on the front-facing windows while going gridless in the back of the home. Removing the grids gives them a clear view of the back of their property, while the front of the home maintains the charm of its colonial look.

Additionally, for their large front windows, the Kolvas opted for a horizontal slider window replacement for their two large front windows. Rather than keeping the three-lite slider, these windows were replaced with a new configuration comprising a picture window in the center with double-hung windows on either side. The design is both sophisticated and practical, allowing for expansive views and improved ventilation.
The Improveit team is grateful that the Kolvas returned for another project after several years, and look forward to continuing their lifetime of service in Zanesville! With their new windows, the Kolvas can enjoy a more beautiful, energy-efficient home for years to come.
