Freshly Styled Pickerington Shower Englargement
the Kussmauls borrowed space from a narrow linen closet to create a larger, more functional shower.
At just 60 square feet or less, space is at a premium in the average bathroom. While some people might look for a ways to fit more storage into these small spaces, Joe & Kimberley Kussmaul knew they wanted to prioritize the shower size for a better bathing experience.
In truth, the narrow linen closet in the Kussmaul’s bathroom wasn’t doing them any favors. With only about about 16 inches of useable space, the closet was much deeper than it was wide. This meant that linens, shampoo bottles, and other stored items were often inconveniently pushed to the back and difficult to retrieve. The layout also used up precious bathing space, leaving the couple feeling cramped in a smaller-than-average shower.
Pickerington Shower Enlargement with Style Upgrades
By eliminating their linen closet, the Kussmauls were able to upgrade to a beautiful 66-inch shower with functional amenities that make showering a pleasure. A built-in bench seat offers a convenient place for seated bathing or shaving, while a full length tower caddy offers plenty of storage for shampoo, soaps, and more. An easy step-in threshold and elegant grab bar offer safety with style.
The new design also brightens the look of the space The Kussmauls chose Improveit’s Grayline shower walls with a fun and funky hexagon pattern and special mini-hexagon accent panel for added visual interest. The white fixtures blend perfectly with the new luxury vinyl tile flooring in travertine white. And have no fear – the shower enlargement didn’t leave the bathroom without a storage solution! Instead of the troublesome linen closet, the Kussmauls chose a beautiful storage-friendly vanity in a popular deep blue color that gave the perfect jumping off point to decorate this bright new space!
