A New Look with Almond Kitchen Cabinets
This Buckeye Lake Kitchen gets a sophisticated refresh with almond cabinets
Barbara Cordle’s cottage near Buckeye Lake was already full of personality. Her DIY-painted cabinets – white with bright blue doors – brought a fun, lake-inspired feel to the space. But over time, she was ready for something more refined.
When it was time to update the kitchen again, Barbara knew she wasn’t looking to change the layout of the kitchen – just the look of the cabinets. Initially, she considered having them repainted, but when she found Improveit through HomeAdvisor, she discovered that kitchen cabinet refacing was a better option. Not only would refacing give her a more refined look than repainting, but Improveit’s lifetime warranty meant her updated cabinets would be covered if she ever needed service down the road.
Almond Kitchen Cabinets Brighten the Space
Working with Improveit designer Ryan Prater, Barbara created a kitchen that feels lighter, warmer, and more cohesive. “She put a lot of work into her previous cabinet painting process, but I think she was looking forward to a fresh design,” Ryan says. “She knew exactly what she wanted, so the design process went really smoothly.”
Her updates included:
- Grandview shaker-style cabinets in almond, a warm neutral that reflects the kitchen’s natural light beautifully
- Aria quartz countertops, replacing the outdated laminate tops and tile backsplash for a clean, seamless look
- Matte black hardware and faucet for a modern pop of contrast
The result is a kitchen that still feels bright, but now has an elevated, timeless feel.
A Worry-Free Experience From Start to Finish
Barbara’s experience working with the Improveit team made the transformation even better. “Ryan was such a pleasure to work with,” she says. “We covered several different options, added in and removed from the design for my kitchen. He made sure I was comfortable with the pricing and payment options. No high-pressure sales to give an answer that day or lose my pricing like some other companies do. Thank you for all your hard work!”
Thank YOU, Barbara! We’re thrilled to welcome you to the Improveit family and look forward to helping you with any projects you need down the road.
