Dec 03, 2020Why Everyone Wants Birch Bathroom Vanities
Envisioning your upcoming bathroom remodel? Whether you’re planning for a luxurious soaker tub or a contemporary frameless shower, we’re willing to bet that your dream bath doesn’t stop with the wet space. Stylish storage both inside and outside the shower is essential for a bathroom that works for your design needs and your lifestyle! We love the storage selections Improveit customers chose in 2020, and we think you will too. Take a look at the most popular storage trends we saw this year!
Start with Shower Accessories
Accessorizing the bathtub and shower is key for creating a wet space that works. Improveit clients love adding shower seats to their spaces, as well as corner shelves and shower caddies with 1-, 2-, and 4-shelf options to hold shampoo bottles, loofahs, and more. Most of these products can be selected to match the shower surround in any of the two dozen colors available.
But in keeping with the trend toward light-and-bright shower spaces, followed by our 4-shelf caddy in white to round out the top three. Of Improveit clients that opted to add a seat to their shower space, 63% chose the spacious bench option, with white being the most popular color selection in that category as well.
Beautiful Wood Bathroom Cabinetry
Your dream bathroom deserves the best quality in every product, which is why Improveit partners with Williams to offer an extensive line of beautiful, high-quality vanity cabinets. Like Improveit, Williams is headquartered right here in the Midwest, and has a long-lasting commitment to quality that makes it a perfect match for your new bathroom.
Adding or updating a bathroom vanity with a well-made cabinet is a great way to ensure the best use of space in your new bathroom. Our partnership with Williams gives you access to a wide selection of vanity sizes and cabinet/drawer combinations for a truly custom bathroom. Of the 10 door- and drawer-front styles available, two rose to the top as the most popular for 2020. Nearly a third of our clients (30%) chose the Osage style, a Shaker front with a recessed panel, while another 20% chose Quebec featuring a raised panel door and flat cabinet fronts. The slab-front Riverside style and more traditional Hudson were also popular this year. Birch was the overwhelming choice for wood species, selected for 90% of our vanities in 2020.
Vanities that are both Durable & Beautiful
Overall, the Osage Birch vanity combination was the overwhelming favorite among our clients this year. Cabinet manufacturer Bertch says the birch wood species tends to resist scratching and denting better than softer species, making it ideal for high-traffic, high-use areas like bathrooms. Its straight, tight grain texture gives birch a more transitional look so popular among bathroom remodels, compared with oak, which gives a more traditional look.
If seeing this year’s most popular bathroom design trends has you itching to design your own, we can’t wait to hear from you! Improveit’s trained project consultants have the design expertise to help you find exactly the right combination of colors, fixture, and finishes, to create the bathroom of your dreams.
