Transferrable Window Warranty Made the Difference in Northern Kentucky
Feb 10, 2021Cincinnati-Area Window Replacement Warranty Will Help Current Homeowners and Their Buyers
Karolyn Malsi and her husband Richard knew that replacing their windows would give them a more energy efficient, comfortable home. But one of the most important factors in choosing Improveit for their Northern Kentucky-area window replacement project was the warranty.
A Warranty That Works For Everyone
“We had researched windows for a while, and we knew we wanted to work with a company that would help us transfer the warranty when we were ready to move,” Karolyn says. The Malsis had never replaced the windows in their Hebron, Kentucky home, just south of Cincinnati. The couple met with other window replacement companies during their research, but Karolyn says a fully transferrable, lifetime warranty gave them the confidence to choose Improveit.
Now with the windows installed, the Malsis‘ are covered for everything from torn screens to broken seals, thanks to our No Seal Failure Guarantee, all of which they can leverage when they put their home on the market down the road. With replacement windows as one of the most valuable home improvements, having new, long-lasting, and fully warranted windows will benefit both the Malsis and their future buyers. When it’s time to move, they can contact Improveit’s Customer Experience team to coordinate a simple window inspection and paperwork process to transfer the warranty to the new owners. A great result for everyone!
Right for the Weather
The day of the Malsis’ Cincinnati-area window installation, the high temperature barely reached freezing. Thankfully, Karolyn says the couple wasn’t left out in the cold by having their windows replaced in the middle of winter.
“When the installers showed up, there were so many of them!” she remembers. “I thought, ‘good – this won’t take any time at all!’ They replaced all the windows at once and everything went really smooth. The installers were really nice and the lead installer explained everything to us about their process as they were going.”
Karolyn says she was impressed by how quickly the installation went, and that the improvement in the family’s home comfort is noticeable, thanks to the energy-efficient windows and installation process. “Our comfort has been much better,” she says, adding that she’s looking forward to seeing a lower utility bill this season. “We’ve been able to keep the thermostat at least two degrees lower than usual for this time of year, and we’re not having to pile on a million blankets. It’s really warm in the house!”
Crystal Clear View
When choosing the styles of their new windows, the Malsis selected double-hung windows for most of their home, as well as two slider windows for their basement level, and a sliding glass door to the deck. They also made a design choice that created a beautiful, clear view to their wooded back yard.
“Our whole neighborhood has grids in the windows, and I never liked that,” Karolyn says. “We have a wooded area in the back and I wanted to be able to see that without any interruptions.” Karolyn requested that her new windows have only clear glass with no grids. But knowing that the rest of the neighborhood had gridded windows, project consultant Joseph Hostetter communicated with Customer Experience Manager Amy Bowling to make sure The Malsis’ HOA wouldn’t get in the way of their view.
“We occasionally have to get HOA approval for window replacements, and I help coordinate that with the HOA and the homeowner,” Amy says. “Sometimes we need to do a little extra work when signatures are required, but in Mrs. Malsi’s case, we didn’t need any approvals, so we were good to go and able to keep the project moving.”
Karolyn couldn’t be more pleased with the results. “I was so happy when I found out we could go ahead with no grids,” she says. “I can see more of the yard. It just opens up the whole picture.”
Improveit is proud to have been able to help the Malsis achieve their goals with beautiful replacement windows that will last a lifetime. This was their first purchase of replacement windows, and with the best warranty, will certainly be the last windows this home will ever need. In the meantime, the Malsis can enjoy their lower utility bills and better views!
