31 Years of Continuous Improvement – and Counting!

When ImproveIt Home Remodeling was born in 1989, the world looked a little different than it does today. George HW Bush and Dan Quayle were in office, a gallon of gas cost $1, and the “World Wide Web” had just been invented!
ImproveIt looked quite different as well. We started out as two college friends with a truck and plan to deliver the best products and services. But as our business grew and technologies advanced, we evolved too.
Here are some of the milestones we’re most proud of over the last 31 years:
From the start, our goal has been to take the risk out of home improvement. That’s why we’ve always given customers down-to-the-penny quotes (no vague estimates) that are good for a full year. This way, you can confidently plan for your project, at your pace, and know exactly what you’ll pay.
Just a few years into business, we upgraded our windows to include a non-metal spacer between the two panes of glass because we knew this was one of the keys to offering the most energy-efficient windows possible. Today, our windows use an exclusive, top-performing, non-metal spacer to deliver maximum energy savings
Effective project management ensures that we finish jobs on time, on budget, and with a five-star customer service experience. When we couldn’t find a tool to help us manage all of that to our standards, we invented one. Today, that software, ImproveIt 360, works so well many of the country’s largest home improvement and home services businesses also use it!
Initially, we offered bath and shower liners – until we realized we were only covering up our customers’ problems, not solving them. That’s definitely not risk-free. In 2010 we transitioned to offering replacement tubs and showers made from the industry’s highest grade of acrylic to ensure your bath provides a lifetime of performance and beauty.
In 2013, our customers asked for a single-source bathroom remodeling solution, and we made it happen. Instead of only focusing on what we call the “wet space” – tubs, showers, and wall surrounds – we began offering beautiful vanities fixtures, lighting, and more all with the same quality standards we demand of our tub and shower materials.
We started this year with two of our most powerful window enhancements, and we’re so proud of the performance they bring. Our windows now feature a solid, insulation-filled frame, and three layers of energy-efficient coatings to give you the hardest working, most energy-efficient windows in the Midwest!
We could go on for ages about the pride we have in our business, and how we are fanatically committed to continuous improvement. But the most important part of our business has stayed the same for the last 31 years: our amazing customers. You trust us to enter your homes and install products that will improve your comfort, safety, and home values for years to come.
