Improveit Brings Christmas Cheer to Columbus Family
Dec 21, 2020Improveit gives back
The spirit of the holidays was in full swing at Improveit Home Remodeling’s corporate office in Columbus, Ohio this year. In one of its two annual holiday give-back events, the Improveit team was excited to make Christmas a little merrier for one Central Ohio family. Through our partnership with The Buckeye Ranch, Improveit took the opportunity to “adopt a family” and provide donations of Christmas gifts for a mom, dad, and their three young boys right here in Columbus.
“We love being able to give back to our local communities in meaningful ways,” says Improveit’s Director of Marketing Traci Snyder. “For us, that means more than just making a donation – it’s about getting involved on a personal level. They Buckeye Ranch does such a great job supporting children and families, and we know the 2020 pandemic has had an especially challenging impact on the people they serve. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to make a direct, positive, and personal impact on one of those families, and help them end the year feeling loved and supported.”
2020 Challenges
Indicative of challenge that 2020 presented to many families, the wish list for Improveit’s adopted family included basics like shampoo, kids’ clothing, and bed linens, along with a handful of gift ideas for the boys. Improveit took the list and ran with it. A corporate contribution provided new winter coats, hats, gloves, and boots for the boys. From there, staff members from all four of the company’s offices contributed to check off every item on the family’s list and then some! Even staff members’ friends and family participated in the festive event. Improveit’s corporate marketing team delivered the gifts to The Buckeye Ranch on December 4, giving time for gift wrapping and delivery to the family before Christmas.
“Our team tries to organize a give-back event every month, but this one is my favorite, and this year was especially touching,” says Senior Marketing Manager Courtney Davis who has coordinated the event for the last three years. “We’re so grateful to our team and their friends and family who spent their own time and money to lighten the load for this deserving family.”
