How Long is the Kentucky State Fair?
The Kentucky State Fair lasts 11 days and runs from August 15 to 25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center just north of Louisville International Airport. Improveit will be giving away a Flight Gift Card each one of those 11 days!

If you complete an Improveit project and your name is drawn as the Sweepstakes winner, you can start a second project or have the prize credited back to you!
Kentucky State Fair Dates & Special Days
The Kentucky State Fair runs from August 15 to 25. Want to get the most out of your visit? Stop by on special days to take advantage of reduced admission, food discounts, and other fun activities. The Improveit team will be on hand every day of the Fair to answer all your home improvement questions and get you entered into our awesome giveaways
Special Days:
Thursday 8/15
- County Fairs Day: See unique competitions and pageants winners from across the state, plus the unveiling of a new exhibit celebrating all 120 Kentucky counties!
Sunday 8/18
- Military Sunday: FREE admission and 20% Thrill Ville for active military, veterans and their families! Military ID required. Limit of four tickets wristbands per valid ID.
Monday 8/19
- $5 Monday: $5 admission per person.
- Visit Discovery Farm in Agland during livestock changeover
- Attend free morning or evening World Championship Horse Show performances.
- Free evening tickets available at the KEC Ticket Office.
Tuesday 8/20
- Senior Day: FREE admission for fairgoers 55 and older. Parking is not included. Special activities will be planned throughout the day.
Wednesday 8/21
- Sensory Awareness Day: FREE admission and Thrill Ville tickets for fairgoers with sensory processing differences. From 10am-noon Thrill Ville will operate with minimal lights and music for those with sensory sensitivities. Limited tickets are available. To receive tickets, fill out this form from FEAT.
Thursday 8/22
- Kentucky Farm Bureau Day hosts the Gospel Music Showcase (open to the public) and the 60th Annual Country Ham Breakfast & Charity Auction (tickets required).
