Don’t forget to take a moment during your Fair visit to learn about our $45,000 Home Makeover Sweepstakes! This annual prize lets one lucky winner put their grand prize winnings toward the Improveit project of their choice. The winner will be drawn in early 2025, but don’t let that stop you from moving forward with your home improvement project. If you complete an Improveit project and your name is drawn as the Sweepstakes winner, you can choose to start a second project or have the prize credited back to you!

Last year’s winner, Rhonda Roberts, knows the value of entering Improveit’s sweepstakes first-hand. “We go to the Fair every year and I always enter every contest,” she told us, but confessed that Improveit’s giveaway was the only contest she entered in 2023. The Ohio State Fair runs from July 24 to August 4. Want to get the most out of your visit to the Ohio State Fair? Stop by on special days to take advantage of reduced admission, food discounts, and other fun activities. The Improveit team will be on hand every day of the Fair to answer all your home improvement questions and get you entered into our awesome giveaways!
Special Days:
Thursday 7/25
- Sensory-Friendly morning from 10am-1pm: Flashing lights and music are reduced or turned off to accommodate sensitive groups.
- WOSU Kids Day: Meet some of your favorite PBS Kids characters!
- $3 Thursday: All vendors will offer select fair food for just $3
Friday 7/26
- RecoveryOhio Mental Health Day: Find behavioral health resources throughout the fair to help make prevention, treatment, and recovery support more visible.
Saturday 7/27
- Molina Healthcare Day: Stop by the Cardinal Gate or OHIO Gate for fun games, health information, and beat-the-heat goodies.
Sunday 7/28
- Veterans & Military Day: Active-duty military and veterans are honored on this day of the fair. Both groups receive FREE Admission every day of the Ohio State Fair with appropriate identification.
Monday 7/29
- Family Discount Day: Adults get in for the kids price of $10, and kids 12 and under are FREE all day! Ride-all-day wristbands are discounted to just $19 until 5pm.
Tuesday 7/30
- Senior Day presented by AmeriHealth Caritas Ohio: FREE Admission for attendees age 60 and over.
- Free concert for all attendees at the Celeste Center at 1pm, featuring The Eagles tribute band Hotel California
Thursday 8/1
- College Student Day: $10 admission with student ID for any college, post-secondary, or technical school.
- $3 Thursday: All vendors will offer select fair food for just $3
Friday 8/2
- Telhio & Ronald McDonald House Charities Day
- Buy one get one FREE Admission tickets before 6pm for any attendees that bring “wish list” items for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Wish list items include: Canned chicken or vegetables, disposable plates or silverware, napkins, paper towels, and condiments (mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, ranch dressing).
